The Japan Prize was established in 1965 by the national Japanese broadcaster NHK. The annual festival honors the top educational programs worldwide. ‘Tsehai Loves Learning’ topped 30 other media projects which were entered into the category from around the globe.
In an official statement, the Japan Prize, Preschool Jury said, "The program displays a depth of understanding of human experience that is often missing in children’s media... With an endearing exchange between a child and her father, the program beautifully models positive parent/child interactions... We are pleased to see a production invested in heightening the pride and esteem of its audience...."
